Family-friendly restaurant guide

When you travel with kids, you should know the restaurants where kids and parents can enjoy themselves and be satisfied with their meals.  Of course, a parent might want to drink alcohol. 

Here, we selected five major family restaurants.  They are easy to find, and you can enjoy a wide variety of meals from Japanese and Chinese to western food at a very reasonable price.

Gusto

Gusto offers not only western food like Hamburger and steak but also Japanese meals and fancy dessert at a very low price.

Kids menu, Drink bar, and alcohol are available.

There are over 1300 stores in japan! So it is easy to find it!

Here are some examples of the western menu. You can enjoy hamburger and beef steak. Look at those prices! Most of them are under ten dollars.

  Here is an example of a Japanese set meal.  You can enjoy Deep fries of pork, chicken, and oyster.  Look at those prices again! 

They are under 10 Doller.

Denny’s

Denny’s must be familiar to you if you are from the united states.

In 1980, Denny’s Japan had a relationship with Denny’s in the U.S.

But now, Denny’s japan is independent and developed its own way.

Denny’s offers not only western food like Hamburger and steak but also Japanese meals, Pasta, and fancy dessert at a reasonable price.

The kid’s menu, Drink bar, and alcohol are available.

There are over 300 stores, mainly in the Kantou region. So it is easy to find it!

Reasonable Hamburger steak & meat set

  Here is  Hamburger and steak meal set served on a weekday from 10:30 to 5pm.  You can select one from the main and side.  Rice and drink will come with it.  Look at those prices!  They are offered for around 10 dollars. 

 ### Budget Daily one plate lunch

  You can select a daily one-plate lunch if you don’t want a large quantity.

They are served on weekdays from 10:30 to 5pm.

Your choice is limited.

But it is a very reasonable price.

You can eat around seven dollars.

If you want to enjoy pasta, here they are!  There is only four variety, but they are very tasty!  You can enjoy them for around 7 to 8 dollars.

Denny’s Grand Menu

  There is a must-try meal, that is Ome-rice. The two meals on the top.

Ome-rice is developed in Japan with the marriage of fluffy omelet and rice.

  Here are the kids meals.  Denny’s serves hamburger and steak, kara-a-gay, pancake, ome-rice. 

Jonathan’s

Jonathan offers Hamburger steak and grill. 

Kids menu, Drink bar, and alcohol are available. There are over 300 stores, mainly in the Kantou region. So it is easy to find it!

Jonathan’s beef steak

  If you are eager to eat a big portion of steak, Jonathan is good for you, Although the price is higher compared with other family restaurants.

There are Hamburger steak meals. 

Grilled chicken meals

  The grilled chicken meal is also yummy.

Jonathan’s daily lunch is super budget price!

Jonathan also serves daily lunch meal on weekday.

It is just 6 doller ! 

Must try meal “Doria”

Two meals on the top left are Doria. It looks like a western meal but was originally born in Japan.

It is similar to gratin but contains rice instead of pasta noodles. This is Must try meal!

Here are the kids meals.  They comes with Gacha coin, which is coin for capsule toy. 

It must be a big fan for kids!

Saizeriya : Italian restaurant

Saizeriya is an Italian restaurant.  There is so much variety of meals with small size and reasonable price.  You can select what you want.  You must feel it is party time!

Kids menu, Drink bar, and alcohol are available.

There are over 1000 stores. So it is easy to find it!

Wow, we can find Doria too.  Look at those prices! It is just 3-4 dollars!

Make your own Italian Sandwich, Panini !

Italians who live in Japan loves Saizeriya too.

They cook their own Panini by selecting the bread, Prosciutto, mozzarella, and shredded carrot.

I gave it a try.

It is incredibly delicious!

Must try Grilled skewered lamb and beer

From this menu, I would recommend Grilled skewered lamb with beer.  They are so good!  It costs only 7 dollars.

Saizeriya kids menu

Here are the kids’ meals. They serve spaghetti or pizza. The spaghetti with black and pink topping is cod roe and seaweed. It is delicious.  Another spaghetti is a meat source. Pizzas are with corn or sausage.

Bamiyan: Chinese family restaurant

Bamiyan serves many Chinese meals, so you can enjoy a Chinese food party!

Dim-sum 

You can enjoy many types of Dumplings.

Stir-fried meals

You can enjoy many types of stir-fried meals.  If you go to Bamiyan with a big group, you can enjoy a lot of tastes. 

Chinese hot noodles

There are Chinese hot noodles. 

My favorite is Dan-dan noodle on the left top. 

It is a Szechuan dish of noodles covered with a sauce of sesame paste and chili oil.

Fried rice meals

  There are fried rice meals with yummy toppings.

Kids menu

Here is the kid’s menu. 

They serve ramthe en or curry rice. 

Why curry in a Chinese restaurant?  I don’t know. But many kids love curry.
